Customized Wellness Coaching Solutions

Wellness Coaching

What is Wellness Coaching?

Well-ness (wel'nes) - Optimal physical and mental health. Coach (kohch) - Your
   partner in reaching peak wellness.

Making lifestyle changes may sound simple, but it can be one of the hardest things we do! Wellness coaching is an intentional, collaborative relationship that facilitates shifts in thinking and behavior to help individuals achieve the goals that are important to them. Wellness Delivered customized wellness coaching solutions help employees and their families lead healthier lives through individual and group coaching programs.

How it works...

Unlike other wellness programs, Wellness Delivered picks up where others leave off by providing a strong support system for health behavior change. It is our experience that often employees already know what they need to do to improve their health. In fact, many already have the information they need to do it. They just need the support and structure necessary to develop the new habits that will increase and maintain their wellness.

The coach is the employee’s personal champion throughout their individual journey to health and wellness, asking powerful questions, listening intently, offering advice, and helping them to stay focused on their goals. Topics covered during a typical 30-minute coaching session may include a review of risk factors and any additional health concerns, clarification of their wellness vision, readiness to change, goal setting, exploring motivators, review of progress, identifying barriers and creative strategies to overcome barriers. It’s like having a personal health and fitness consultant, cheerleader and friend—all in one!

Wellness Delivered customized wellness coaching covers diverse needs, such as weight loss, disease management, smoking cessation, stress reduction, fitness and nutrition. Our wellness coaches are experts in the mastery of well-being and change, and have education and professional experience in one or more of the following disciplines: nursing, nutrition, and exercise physiology. Coaching calls are completely confidential and are not shared with the client company, health care provider, insurance, or any other third party without a release.

Why choose Wellness Delivered coaching services?

We work with you to design a totally customized wellness coaching solution. Format (onsite vs. telephone; individual vs. group), length, frequency, and fee structure (employer pay vs. employee co-pay) of coaching sessions are based on the needs of your organization and employees.

Rather than prescribe solutions, Wellness Delivered coaches collaborate with employees to design a totally customized wellness plan that is realistic and comfortable for them. We address the whole health of the employee—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual—while focusing on the lifestyle related behaviors that they are ready to change. Since we believe that relationship is a key to positive behavior change, the employee is matched with their own personal wellness coach. Coaching sessions are longer and more in-depth than the brief interventions often delivered in a call center format.

Outcomes

Telephonic counseling (Coaching) nearly doubles a smoker's odds of quitting and maintaining
cessation for one year (American Cancer Society, 2004).

It’s a win-win solution! By the end of three months, clients typically reach more than 70% of their initial health goals and are energized and confident to continue positive change in new areas (Wellcoaches, Inc). And companies realize a 1:3 to 1:5 return on investment (ROI) when 100% of their employees are offered health coaching (Wellsource).

Wellness Delivered provides aggregate reporting to capture: participation rate, number and average length of coaching sessions, focus areas discussed, health goals established, behavior change achieved, and referrals made.

“Employees suffering from poorly controlled diabetes miss about 12 days of work each year due to illness, compared to just two days for diabetics whose illness is well controlled.”
